“Försäkringsutmanaren”, developed in collaboration with ICA's innovation hub ICAx, gives the consumer a complete overview of all their insurances, regardless of insurance company. The consumer uses BankID to log in and can compare and evaluate their own insurance coverage with ICA insurance options. The service compares cost but also the rating from Konsumenternas Försäkringsbyrå (The Swedish Consumers' Insurance Bureau) which ultimately leads to a better and safer everyday economy for consumers.

- Many consumers still find it difficult to compare and review their insurance. We want “Försäkringsutmanaren” to help them out. Traditional price comparison services do not provide the overall overview that consumers need. As a consumer, you must be able to feel safe knowing that you have adequate insurance coverage and do not overcharged, says Caroline Farberger, CEO of ICA Insurance.

ICA Insurance recently conducted a survey together with Novus disclosing that 29 percent of Swedes are unsure of what is included in their insurances. In addition, every fourth Swede between the ages of 18 and 29 is unaware of which company or companies they have an insurance with. The survey also revealed that more than half (54 percent) of participants rarely or never review their insurance policies.

- Openness and transparency have increased in areas such as comparing mortgage rates, and we hope that “Försäkringsutmanaren” will contribute to driving this development in terms of insurance as well. As an insurance company have a great responsibility to increase transparency in the market, so that customers can make more active choices based on knowledge. Customer safety must come first, Caroline Farberger continues.

“Försäkringsutmanaren" is available at icaforsakring.se and can be used by anyone, regardless of your current insurance company or if you are a customer of ICA Insurance or not. If you want to change insurance, the service helps you to do this in a new, much simpler way where personal and object information is retrieved automatically. ICA Insurance also helps to terminate consumer's previous insurance when expired.
